The Orphans of October 7
About "The Israeli Children's Fund (ICF) - Wrapped With Love "
The "Wrapped With Love – ICF" non-profit organization was established just days after the October 7 events by business and tech industry leaders to provide support for 470 children who lost their parents in the most devastating massacre in Israel's history. These children endured unimaginable trauma, witnessing their parents' murders while hiding for hours without assistance. Many also lost additional family members, friends, and teachers. Most were forced to leave their homes and have not yet returned. Many of the murdered parents were the primary financial anchors of their families. Alongside the trauma and loss, surviving family members now face complex financial realities, adding another layer of challenges.

Our Mission and goals

The vision of ICF is to enable each child to live a full life despite the trauma and loss they have experienced.
The organization achieves this through two primary support systems:
1. Financial Support System: The ICF aims to provide each child with financial support of up to 700,000 NIS, accompanying them throughout their childhood and adolescence into adulthood. The financial support is provided through a grant mechanism focused on three core areas:
-
Rehabilitation and Resilience: A flexible grant tailored to the unique recovery journey of each child, covering alternative therapies, extracurricular activities, and essential supplies.
-
Education: Support from early childhood through adulthood, including daycare, after-school programs, summer camps, educational trips (e.g., to Poland), pre-army preparatory courses, vocational training, and higher education degrees.
-
Milestones in Life: Grants for key life events, such as birthdays, bar/bat mitzvah celebrations, weddings, and assistance with purchasing a car or home, as well as grants for first-time parenthood.
Each grant request is reviewed by a professional committee to ensure alignment with the organization's criteria and goals.
2. Professional Support System: The organization serves as a coordinating body, providing information on rights and opportunities, as well as guidance during critical decision-making moments. This professional support includes:
-
Social Work Assistance: Dedicated social workers to accompany families.
-
Partnerships: Collaborations with organizations to provide services tailored to children's needs.
-
Advanced Technology Solutions: "Rights Bot": A tool developed by ICF to clearly and simply present families with their state-provided rights.
-
"Wrapped Platform": A platform offering families access to opportunities and initiatives while also providing a secure, discreet space for sharing unique challenges.
Help Us Wrap Them In Love
Building on our innovative approach, the Israeli Children's Fund combines best practices from top-tier non-profits worldwide with lean startup methodology.
This unique operational model ensures that the majority of funds raised directly benefit the children throughout their childhood and secure their future.
We have raised funds until today from leading federations such as the UJA, JFNA and CJP Boston, as well as established foundations such as the Schulich Foundation and The Scheinberg Foundation.
To fulfill our commitments to all affected children, we must raise another $20 million during this period to set our financial model in motion.
This structured approach guarantees efficient resource allocation, making a meaningful impact on these young lives both immediately and in the long term.
We invite you to join our efforts and help us ensure the best possible future for the orphans of October 7.
